Dining
There is plenty of choice when it comes to dining. Guests can choose open seating or fixed seating, al fresco dining or indoor dining.
The Pole to Pole restaurant on Saga Sapphire has four distinct areas which represent Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas, while the speciality restaurant, East to West, serves a superb choice of cuisine to just 64 guests. There is also the option to dine al fresco in the informal Verandah and Grill.
Spirit of Discovery has a variety of restaurants including the Grand Dining Room and East to West, which offers diverse Eastern cuisine, from classics to meals with a modern twist. There is also Coast to Coast, a beautiful seafood restaurant, which puts a twist on fish and chips.
Spirit of Adventure doubles Saga’s range of speciality restaurants at sea, with all of them included in the price. In addition to the Dining Room, guests can dine in the world’s first Nepalese restaurant at sea, Khukuri House, as well as in Italian restaurant Amalfi.
Destinations
Saga Sapphire, Spirit of Discovery and Spirit of Adventure explore a variety of destinations, from the diverse Baltic cities of Stockholm and St Petersburg to the breathtaking Norwegian fjords and dramatic landscapes of Iceland, known as the ‘Land of Ice and Fire’. Perhaps venture further afield to the sun-drenched Canary Islands or the idyllic islands of the Caribbean.
Shore excursions are optional so allow guests to choose the ones that interest them. They can be pre-booked and range from active hiking tours to relaxing panoramic coach tours. Every excursion is accompanied by an experienced English-speaking guide. In addition, Saga offers a complimentary shuttle bus service to the town or city centre when docked in the majority of ports.
